Daniel Fast Guidelines

The Daniel Fast has become what may be the most popular of fasting practices. Being a partial-fast, it’s more fitting to the masses who are experiencing fasting for the first times in their spiritual journey. However, at the same time, the fast is restrictive enough to provide a strong deniel element, which is important.

But the way you approach the Daniel Fast will determine the guidelines you will follow. Many use the Daniel Fast for dietary reasons including weight-loss and addressing specific health needs. However, the most common reason people enter into the Daniel Fast is for spiritual fasting.

Depending on your purpose, the Daniel Fast can be for as few as 3 days and then usually lasts no more than 21 days.
