Sometimes I feel as if my heart will burst as I consider the many ways the Lord blesses me. As we prepare our hearts and homes to celebrate Thanksgiving Day in the United States on Thursday, November 24th, I encourage you to share your thanksgivings here. Bless others as they join you in praise to our Father for the great works He has done in our lives.

I too am wondering what God’s plan is for me. I am a 63 yr young woman currently living in Wisconsin wondering what my next step is. I have been living with my daughter and her family for the past 2+yrs providing support for her and vise versa. Lord is moving them in a new (Texas) direction I don’t want to go. But I am on disability not disabled, but need to be around at least one family member. I’m asking God for direction, guidance, a sign, something to let me know if I’m supposed to follow or stay. All comments appreciated. I am preparing for a Daniel fast and would just like some input. Thank you in advance.
God is so good, Terry. His promises are sure. Continue to rely on Him. Fasting is a powerful spiritual tool to draw closer to Him and focus on prayer and study.

It is April 2015 I am preparing to begin the Daniel Fast (my first) next week. I lost my job 3 months ago and am unable to find a new one as yet. I have been commuting 2 hrs a day. I am 62 and wondering if God is taking me in a new direction. I live alone in a mobile home just 3 doors down from my 95 year old step mom and my husband lives in our other home 40 miles away he visits on weekends. I am here only because I felt God wanted me to care for mom she is all I have for a parent and my husband and I both love her. We are in agreement to care for her. He runs our business and things can get pretty harry… Financially God is making a way and now I am thinking he has allowed me this time to just grow closer to Him. I am making a list of all the unanswered prayers a list of all the family members that are not walking with the Lord, Spiritual breakthroughs I would like to see, ministry direction, and Gods will for the rest of my life. I have wishes and dreams but I want to be aligned with His plan not my own and sometimes it is hard to hear what that is. I am totally waiting on Him for direction.

Hi Ian,
No need for you to even try to justify the blessing of the Lord in your life. You are the seed of Abraham and the covenant blessing of the Lord belongs to all who are in Christ Deut. 28:1-14 (and being redeemed from the curse Gal 3:13). You are Blessed…. to Be a Blessing to those in need! We have to have it, in order to give it away! Continue on and finish strong in your assignment as His conduit of power and life in this world!
How can I justify how blessed my wife and myself are. Is it because we are not hiding behind the bible n bluffing. We are out there giving to the needy n elderly n stroke victims. Everytime we do this it just snds like a calling from the holy spirit. We are not rich but we are comfortable and yet we can’t wait to give to the less forntunate. I was in a rehab centre I’m March of 1986 and look here blessed I’ve been. WHY. Praise be to GOD AS HE IS THE GREATEST
Just remember to stay focus while fasting, because without a doubt, the enemy rears his nasty head!

Today is the first day of a 21 day Daniel Fast that I go on at the start of each year with my church. I am looking forward to what God wants to do in and through me during this time.
I THANK THE LORD FOR WORKING BEHIND THE SCENES IN MY LIFE, EVEN THE MINUTEST DETAILS. PRAISE GOD FOR GIVING US MORE REASONS TO CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS AND TO LET PEOPLE KNOW ITS TRUE CHRISTIAN MEANING. AMEN!
